Charleston portrait photographers are blessed with an abundance of beautiful locations for portrait sessions!
One such beauty of a location is Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, located in the heart of the plantation district in historic Charleston, SC. The Sabo family holds a special place in our hearts as in the not to distant past, we photographed Julina and Jay’s wedding back in Cleveland, OH! It was so great reconnecting with them once again as their Charleston portrait photographers during their vacation time in Charleston, SC. Their little June is absolutely precious, not to mention a professional in front of the camera. The fact that Jay and Julina now run their own photography studio in Northeast Ohio is probably a big help! What a joy she was to photograph and interact with (not to mention her special visit to Santa’s workshop while she was in town!).
As Charleston portrait photographers, our main objective when looking for good spots for a family session involve primarily around quality of light, followed by the environment itself. The reason we LOVE Magnolia Plantation so much is the large variety of locations to photograph in within a close area. Not to mention the beautiful and whimsical sunlight streaming thru the gardens. We were really lucky with this session as the original day we planned to shoot (the day before) ended up being a soggy and wet day with continuous rain showers. In the end, it worked out great! One of our favorites spots on this plantation is the beautiful oaks which hug the river bank. Its a picture perfect spot to place a family, or bride, or even high school senior!
It’s always a joy knowing that these portraits will be cherished for a lifetime, and their value will only INCREASE with each passing year. There are not many products or services out there that can make that claim, but beautiful portrait photography is at the top of that list. Its the biggest reason why we take our jobs so seriously! Thank you again Julina and Jay for spending your time with us, and for sharing your little Junebug with us!
