Citadel Wedding | Christina + Jordan | Charleston, South Carolina
Enjoy this beautiful Citadel Wedding!
The Sumerall Chapel at the Citadel in Charleston is a wonderful backdrop for a low country wedding! Christina and Jordan were an instant fit with us as soon as we met them. Christina happens to be one the easiest brides in the world to love and Jordan is her perfect match. The two of them made for quite a fit for this incredible church, and their laid back and relaxed reception at the Cooper River Room in Mt. Pleasant provided a fun evening of dancing and good food! The Summerall Chapel at the Citadel is a historic favorite for wedding ceremonies in Charleston and it is not hard to see why! After the ceremony was over, we were able to make use of the beautiful day by doing photos on the grounds of the Citadel. Christina came up with the fabulous idea of taking a few photos in the Citadel Barracks. The checkerboard pattern on the ground made an exciting background for the photo Christina had envisioned! After taking our photos at the Citadel, we jumped over to the Cooper River Room. That venue has one of the best views of the Ravenel bridge available in Charleston. We, of course, make use of the bridge for a photo of the bride and groom at dusk! Another great idea of Christina’s was the “Bacon Bar.” She had several different kinds and flavors of bacon for her guests as a reception snack! It was a huge hit! She even had Jordan make the Bacon sign that you can see in the background of some of their reception images. This party was kept going strong by one of our favorite DJ’s, DJ Wade. That may have been one of the most packed dance floors we have ever seen! Thanks so much guys for having us as your Citadel wedding photographers, we hope you enjoy these images for decades to come!
