Wedding Photography Workshop | August 2016 | Charleston, SC

We are bringing our Wedding Photography Workshop to Charleston this coming August 8-11th, 2016, and we’d love for you to be there!

Attention fellow wedding photographers! I’m excited to announce we will be doing our 4 day intensive wedding photography workshop in Charleston coming up this August 8-11th, 2016. This will be 4 full days of education that will break down the entire wedding photography experience from beginning to end, with a huge emphasis on the craft of photography, and how to become a better overall image maker. Everything from client interaction, posing fundamentals, in an depth look at lighting techniques on location, composition principles, as well as album design theory and design will be discussed during this wedding photography workshop. We will be doing live shoots on multiple days, and even an evening shoot midweek. As always we are going to have a great time! This class will run Monday August 8th thru Thursday August 11th, 9am-5pm each day. This class is open to all Charleston wedding photographers, as well as photographers across the country who are willing to travel to the Charleston area!

Here’s a little of what some of our past students had to say about their program experience:

“It’s very hard to know where to start, unless I make comparisons to how I used to shoot. Normally, I’d feel totally insecure without my rolling bag, containing 6 speedlights, 10 triggers, lenses, etc. I didn’t know what to think when we were instructed to only bring two lenses, and a camera body!! I was used to making my own work harder, by not using the light that was already there!! I learned to use the existing light to my advantage, through placement, taking charge of the event, and posing! I couldn’t believe the results!!! I could now use ANY light source, to produce dramatic images, without even carrying a flash!! Then, we learned tons of expert tips on posing, that will make ANYONE look fantastic, no matter their shape or size. Combined with posing the subject in relation to the gorgeous light……there is no way you won’t be able to make awesome photos of any subject, anywhere!! When I left the workshop, I felt 100% prepared to implement everything I learned, and could guarantee that the shots would be fantastic!!!! This wedding photography workshop, in my opinion, worth at least 4 times what I paid to go! I would recommend this class to anyone seeking to make an incredible leap in the quality of their work, and add a high-end look to their images!!”

“I recently traveled from St. Louis MO to South Carolina to attend Ted and Rachel’s “Crafting a Wedding Masterpiece” wedding photography workshop offered at the Lamar School, through the PPA. I have attended several workshops by industry “celebrities” and walked away with disappointment. I can honestly say that with out a doubt Ted and Rachel’s course has been the best investment I have made in myself as a wedding photographer. Both Ted and Rachel are open books about their business, shooting techniques, and artistic vision. All four days were JAM PACKED with information and REAL WORLD (read REAL WEDDING) advice. They share how to make even the worst location look amazing!!! Both Ted and Rachel took the time to critique images taken by the students, as well as help during the ample amount of shooting time offered. This wasn’t the kind of workshop where you had a styled shoot and watched the pros work-they worked right along side the students encouraging and critiquing. Anyone who wants to grow as a wedding photographer would be luck to take this class. I am so happy I did.”
– Dana Tate, Dana Tate Photographer, Eureka, MO

“My wife and I took Ted and Rachel’s “Crafting a Wedding Masterpiece” wedding photography workshop at the Professional Photographers of South Carolina’s Lamarr Williamson School. It was, without a doubt, one of the most valuable training we’ve ever experienced. There was no filler—every day was jam-packed with practical advice on making breathtaking wedding images and making a successful living by creating them. The class wasn’t just a series of tips, though. Ted and Rachel communicated their artistic vision as well as sources of inspiration. They also tailored the instruction to the students present while still covering everything they planned. It was a bit like drinking from the fire hose, but in the best way possible. My wife and I highly recommend this class to anyone who’s serious about growing in their wedding photography, delighting their clients, and doing work of which they can be proud.”
– J.P. Stephens, Lumos Studios, Columbia, SC
